Biography
Elena Vargas began in residential brokerage in 1997 and moved to community housing after watching a decade of buyers she had represented lose homes they should never have been sold.
Her initiative has closed 4,100 owner-occupied transactions, paired every one with pre-purchase counseling, and tracked outcomes for ten years after closing — the only program of its size in Texas to publish that data.
The retained-ownership rate across that record stands at ninety-four percent.
