The Record

Biography

Harold T. Freeman entered commercial brokerage in 1984 and moved to development a decade later, at a moment when Atlanta's corridors were being rebuilt faster than they were being planned. He argued, publicly and often unpopularly, for phased density tied to transit.

His firm has delivered 6.4 million square feet across the Southeast. Nine of those projects included permanent workforce housing components negotiated before it was required of him.

He has testified before municipal planning bodies more than two hundred times, always under his own name, and has never sought a variance he would not defend in open session.
