The Record
Biography
William A. Caldwell was licensed in 1979 and opened his first office in 1986 with four agents. At its height the firm employed six hundred and thirty licensees across the Chicago metropolitan area.
He is known less for the size of that enterprise than for its training doctrine: no agent of his firm represented a client unaccompanied during their first year, a policy he maintained through every expansion and every downturn.
He stepped back from daily management in 2021 and has since devoted himself to the licensure ethics curriculum used across Illinois.
